Hanszen Laporte Resolves Real Estate Boundary Dispute

On May 8, 2020, Hanszen Laporte, via Anthony Laporte and Forrest Cohrs, resolved a real estate boundary dispute which enabled Hanszen Laporte’s client to proceed with the sale of three home properties. The dispute was brought to the firm’s attention on 4/14/20. Using the relatively recent and little known provisions of TEX. GOV. CODE §§ 51.901 and 51.903, Hanszen Laporte secured an emergency hearing (via Zoom) and, despite rather bitter acrimony between the parties, leveraged the hearing to work out a solution for all sides which enabled Hanszen Laporte’s client to proceed with the sales. Hanszen Laporte knows that problems don’t wait for the best of times to raise their heads; rather, they usually pile on in the worst of times. Nevertheless, we stand ready to address same in good times and bad.
